Cascoland Journal
Thursday 23 February
The playground in front of the Mayenzeke centre was the stage for Dutch
architect Kevin van Braak and Italian artist Rosella Biscotti’s
project with a vivid green tower. A crowd of people had gathered to receive
two nice pieces of wood. but first both artists built up the tower without
using any nails. After it had reached its peak of five meter they had
to stop building it higher because of strong New Crossroads winds. Then
the dismantling process started. In a long line people from New Crossroads
were waiting to, each, get two pieces of wood. Rosella filmed the whole
process and a few days later followed some people to find out what the
wood was used for. Some pieces of wood have already been used as doorposters and others are still contemplating what to do with this surprising gift of both artists. |
