Participants
Participating artists have been selected according to their background,
expertise and approach towards the content and aims of the project, including
working within public, the city, architecture, design and functional ‘artefacts’.
Their individual participation will crucially shape the form and specifics
of ‘CascolandSA’, which is essentially an improvised, spatial
‘collage’ rooted in the desire to research, address, intervene
into, alter, celebrate and confront the practices of the everyday. As
such each participant will inform the built space, its rules, spatial
aesthetics and functions.
Most Dutch artists have been finalized at this point and have a long standing
working relationship with the Dutch management team. Most South African
artists have expressed keen interest – the final selection will
take place once funds have been approved. |
