Footballclubs from New Crossroads and surroundings are going to be instructed
in the new sport of Linefootball and invited to enter the first New Crossroads
Linefootball-tournament. May the best team win!
Linefootball: Rules of the game
There are 6 equally sized sections in the playing field.
Total size playing field: 15 x 5 metres. Section size: 2,5 x 5 metres.
Goals are on the baselines. Size of the goal 3 x 1,25 metres.
There are 3 players in each team, 1 player per section.
The duration of a game is 2 x 5 minutes. After the first 5 minutes the
direction in which is played is reversed.
All players have to stay in their own section between the lines.
During the game, they are not allowed to make physical contact with other
players.
The ball can be played directly at goal, but can also be played through
a player in a different section.
You are allowed to play the ball using the boarding surrounding the field.
You have to play the ball out of a section within 7 seconds.
You are not allowed to touch the ball with your hands.
The goalkeeper is allowed to stop the ball with his hands, but has to
play the ball out of the goal area with his feet.
A section ball follows after somebody breaks a rule. A section ball has
to be played by the striker of the other team.
You can rotate players in every section after a goal or after another
break during the game (section rotation).
You can also bring in substitudes during these breaks. There is no limit
to the rotations.
